SUMMARY:Poudre to the Peak Spring Drive - May 3rd
DESCRIPTION:This year’s route features a full day of scenic driving through some of Colorado’s most beautiful mountain roads. The drive begins in Fort Collins\, heading north on Highway 287 before turning west through Poudre Canyon on Highway 14 to Cameron Pass. After a rest stop\, we’ll continue to Walden for lunch at River Rock Café. \nFollowing lunch\, the cruise continues east from CO 125 / Hwy 40 toward Granby and Winter Park\, then climbs over Berthoud Pass before returning to the Metro Area via I-70. \nDrivers of all experience levels are welcome\, and groups will be organized to accommodate a range of driving styles\, including a more relaxed touring group for those who want to focus on the social and scenic side of the day. \nPlease call or e-mail for lunch reservations by the evening of May 6. Expect soup and sandwich bars with cookies to cost  $21/person with tax and tip included. DESCRIPTION:HPR Track Map \nRMC BMW CCA HPDE New Student Welcome Packet (2026) \nSharpen your skills on real tracks with experienced instructors. From first-timers to seasoned drivers\, our HPDE programs meet you where you are. This 1-day school provides a unique opportunity to drive your car at speed and to experience the thrill of becoming one with your car. The school is open to all current BMW CCA members who hold a full operator’s license that does not require another qualified party to be a passenger in the vehicle for the license to be considered valid.Our Summer session starts July 18th at High Plains Raceway. Most makes and models of vehicles are allowed at RMC Driving Schools with appropriate tech inspection. Students are assigned to one of four Run Groups (A\, B\, C\, or D) commensurate with their experience. D is for beginners\, and A is the most advanced run group. The groupings are based on relative pace and are intended to minimize the speed disparity within each group.
