Nelson Rd & Hwy 36 – Left Hand Reservoir – Nelson Rd & Hwy 36
You asked for it and here it is! This is a 5-hour off-road tour, intended for high-clearance vehicles including BMW SAVs. This is considered a mild 4WD route, drivable by stock Subarus. The registration limit is 12 vehicles.
This driving event is held on public roads. Individuals participating must observe and abide by all traffic laws at all times

Starting Point
Parking area beside Nelson Road, east of US 36 at 8:45 am
Event Schedule
- 8:45 – Arrive at roadside parking on Nelson Road near US Highway 36
- 9:15-10:15 – 23-mile drive to Left Hand Reservoir via Ward [Google Maps Link].
- 10:15-12:45 – 2.5 hours at the reservoir – explore and picnic lunch. Option to break off and spend more time at the reservoir
- 12:45-1:45 – 25-mile drive back via Overland Road and Jamestown [Google Maps Link]

Registration is limited to 12 cars. Walk-up registration is not allowed for this event.
