Helmet Tech Socials
Stop on by any of our pre-season Helmet Techs to raise a glass and chat with your fellow enthusiasts. and get your helmet cleared for use this season.
Social Drives
New for 2023 are plans for 2-3 scenic RMC social drives organized by Naveen Viswanath, one of which will target BMW X owners and getting onto some dirt. Routes are being finalized and are planned to be in and out of the foothills between Golden and Estes Park. We’re also planning an updated version Gary Odehnal’s “Spring Drive” he has organized for many years, and has volunteered to restart this year.
These drives are planned to have around 2 hours of drive time to make it easier to fit into RMC members’ busy weekend schedules.
Jim Flint has volunteered to once again to coordinate RMC members interested in attending the Vail Car Show weekend as a group. This multi-day, multi-drive charity event brings out amazing cars and beautiful drives. It is currently scheduled for September 15-17.

Social Track Gatherings
While we hope to see many of you at our two driving schools this year as a driver or volunteer, there are many other opportunities for a day at the track. One of them are “open track days” at High Plains Raceway or Pueblo Motorsports Park.
For 2023 the idea was suggested to take a few social trips to the track as a group, paddock together, do some “bench racing”, see how open track days operate, catch some rides (bring your helmet!) and optionally get in a few laps. Intended to be very informal, time flexible, and under the rules of the track’s open lapping day policies, we’ll be organizing a few trips to the track and inviting RMC members of all skill levels to check out the fun.
